Tailstock provides support from the other end of the spindle and is used for the cores/coils/bobbins which don’t have holes in the center or difficult to hold the cores/coils on the spindle using simple tools. Also tailstock are used for flexible cores or formers on which winding is to be done.
Tailstock is mechanically synchronized with the spindle motion so the core or coil is being rotated from both the ends which helps to wind miniature coils and soft cores or flexible former which might twist if rotated only by spindle. Driven tailstock also helps in avoiding any slippage of the core to avoid any turns error. Driven tailstock can be configured as push or pull mechanism. Push mechanism is used to wind coil on solid core while pull mechanism is used to wind coil over the flexible tube or rope.
Self locking tailstock for single and double spindle winding machine enabling winding of any type of coil with quick loading and unloading operation.
Mechanically locked tailstock without spring activated for large or special coils and mandrels.
This tailstock is having live center(bearing to rotate free) to support the core or coil from the other end of the spindle. Generally it is used for heavy coils to support from other end of spindle.
This tailstock is having live center(bearing to rotate free) with open-close functionality through pnematic operation. This tailstock will be helpful for quick changeover of the coil for loading and unloading as the tailstock is self locking. Generally it is used for hard cores which might not brake if excessive pressure is applied.
